An 86-year-old grandmother devastated when an association tells her that she is “too old” to adopt an animal

Thelma Ashley86, lives in penzance in Cornwall (South West England) with her granddaughter kiri. The latter has temporarily moved into her home, but in a few months she will be moving into her own place and her grandmother will be alone again.

Thelma Ashley had lost her husband 7 years ago, then her Golden Retriever george. Thelma Ashley would have liked to adopt a middle-aged, medium to large sized dog. Her granddaughter could very well have welcomed one in her name and entrusted it to her grandmother, but the latter does not want to “cheat”.
