And they are mouth-watering, they taste like pasta and crisp like crisps, what more could you ask for? Sacrilege perhaps for some, we can well imagine the Italians rolling their eyes and raising their arms to the sky.
This hybrid snack is therefore the latest food trend straight out of TikTok. American food blogger Yumna Jawad’s video on Feel Good Foodie’s network has already been viewed more than 23 million times. And if the sauce takes so well, it’s because the recipe is very simple and accessible to everyone. Since then, everyone has posted their culinary creation and its many variations. In addition, this snack is considered relatively healthier than chips thanks to its cooking method. Of course, we suspect that it is to be consumed in moderation. If even Goop, the blog of Gwyneth Paltrow the healthy popess talks about it, it’s because you have to embark on the experience.
Very easy, start by choosing your favorite pasta (rigatoni, penne, fusilli, farfalle…) and cook it as usual. Then season it with olive oil, parmesan, garlic, aromatic herbs or spices as desired. Finally, cook them until crispy in an air fryer. This cooking technique makes it possible not to use a lot of oil, for example for fries, two teaspoons of oil are enough. If you do not have such a device, the oven will also do.
We eat the pasta chips with a sauce in which we dip them. Here again all the tastes are in nature, tomato sauce, yogurt or feta sauce, pesto… Treat yourself!
