A massacre”.

A new attack in its exploitation

This Monday, April 25 around 7:40 a.m., Jean-Leonus, a farmer in Saint-Paul, made a terrible discovery on his farm. More than 70 chickens and ducks were killed by a dog attack. The farmer is now desperate:

“It’s not the first time this has happened to me, at the start of the Covid period I had lost 55 roosters. It’s very difficult, I’m struggling today to live properly. Some of the animals are still dying this morning” , he explains.

The farmer has already contacted the Réunion Chamber of Agriculture to explain his situation but has not yet lodged a complaint with the Réunion gendarmerie.

“I can’t take it anymore. For me, these are targeted attacks. I’ve already spoken to the gendarmerie before but there’s never been a follow-up. If it continues, I’ll take a gun and if one day I see someone near my farm.he adds.
